Weird Art

So I was googling interesting art to photoshop... when I stumbled across WeirdArt.com

I must say, it is quite... weird.

This image in particular grabbed my attention not only because of the unique subject matter, but also the use of color. This image is actually for a t-shirt design that I very well might buy.

Visited some new exhibits around downtown Asheville, NC over break!

This is a piece by a French artist by the name of Anne Bachelier. I LOVE her work because her pieces with ink and gouache resemble my own work. She does mainly paintings... so these ink pieces are quite valuable, besides the fact that right now she's only represented in Manhattan and Asheville. I'm planning on purchasing one of her inks - "untitled II".

This buffalo piece by Daniel McClendon was another favorite of mine! Through organic compositions he shows his admiration for the natural world. All of his art has some sort of nature theme.

I really enjoyed all of Marci Crawford's artwork. All of her work is easily recognizable. She likes to use botanical references, skeletal tree forms, and a sense of atmospheric light to express her emotions as she paints. I feel like I'm drawn to it because of her vibrant and unique color choices.

This is a work in progress by my friend Hannah from Asheville, NC.  I have always admired her work for its meticulous detail to the female human body form. So beautiful, in my eyes!

Lake Eden Arts Festival (http://theleaf.org/) always been a place I can call my home. Every year, twice a year, I enjoy attending for an experience like no other!!! At LEAF, I enjoy (besides the delicious food) sharing my own creativity and being exposed to others. There is everything from healing arts, dancing, fire shows, fine arts, to music. All in one centralized location. How could it get any better than that?
